Liz Sharp has handled a full range of complex litigation before the Illinois Commerce Commission and in state and federal courts. Such matters have included:

  • Adjudication of mechanic's lien issues;
  • Adversary proceedings in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations;

Working with a variety of business owners, Liz Sharp has extensive knowledge of business, construction, secured transactions, environmental and regulatory law. From concept to commercialization, Liz Sharp is committed to helping clients close their deals in a timely, cost-effective manner.

In addition to regular financings and business transactions, Liz Sharp has expertise in the area of renewable energy derived from biomass. Specifically, she has represented developers in large construction projects where methane gas is cleaned to pipeline quality natural gas or burned to generate electricity.

Over the past 30 years, Liz Sharp has managed many transactional and litigation matters on behalf of business owners and project developers.

Her transactional experience includes:

  • Managing financial transactions with secured lenders, venture capital funds, or private equity investors;
  • Reviewing construction plans, addressing construction management issues, and licensing and permitting construction projects;
  • Negotiating agreements with third parties, including power purchase agreements and interconnection agreements; and
  • Negotiating contracts for design-build projects, financing and subordination agreements, environmental consulting and services agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
